2024 Cumberland County Veterans Day Parade

Welcome All!
Each year, Veterans Day is celebrated across the country to honor US Veterans and victims of all wars. The Cumberland County Veterans Council has an annual tradition of honoring its significance by hosting the Veterans Day Parade.
SAFETY FIRST! SAFETY FIRST!
- ALL children are required to have adult supervision at all times.
- ALL trash will be disposed of in proper trash cans located around the parade areas.
- ALL vehicles will be turned off once your organization has reached its appropriate staging area.
- Stay with your organization (or close by) to ensure you do not miss your movement times.
- Each staging area is numbered and allocated to a specific organization. Please DO NOT move to another area unless directed by the CCVC Senior Vice President or Event Staff.
- At all times please remain respectful of others and listen to volunteers as they try to assist you to your appointed staging area.

All Veterans Day Parade entries are REQUIRED to have military affiliation.
- Active Duty, Reserve, Coast/National Guard, Space Force, ROTC/JROTC.
- Military Service Organizations and their Auxiliaries.
- Veterans Affairs, AAFES, American Red Cross
- Chartered Military Heritage Organizations.

Failure to follow these Safety Rules may be cause for removal from the Veterans Day Parade or refusal of future participation.

This year, the 28th Annual Veterans Day Parade will be celebrated with the theme:
Please read the important information provided before completing the application process for this year's Veterans Day Parade.
- Unsolicited applications will be deleted without a response.
- The 2024 Parade Vehicle Limitation has been set to 12 Motorcycles OR 6 Automobiles/Floats per organization.
- Please plan to assemble your group at an off-site location BEFORE moving to the staging area. Please arrive TOGETHER and ON TIME.
- ALL horses and other livestock/animals must remain together in the rear of the parade and provide their own clean-up equipment/personnel.
- There is NO ADDITIONAL PARKING available in the staging area.
- ALL parking in the downtown area is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and must be in accordance with local Law Enforcement guidance (closed areas, blocked roads, etc.)
- Due to the high level of participation in this event, your organization's designated arrival and staging time is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.
- Instructions for staging areas and arrival timeframes will be sent on October 28, 2024 to organizations with completed and approved applications.
NOTE: Motorcycle Clubs, Organizations, and Individuals NOT affiliated with a military organization will not be allowed to participate in the parade.
